AMD India
Semiconductor
You will work closely with developers to ensure the stability of low-level Linux systems and high-performance prefetching engines.
You will leverage a comprehensive test environment to practice robust test automation daily, using modern AI tools to accelerate development and focus on the core semantics of test behaviors rather than syntax.
While automation is central to scaling and regression, some manual testing is also expected.
THE PERSON: We are looking for a QA Engineer with proven experience in software testing, QA, or systems validation.
The candidate will have advanced Linux knowledge and intermediate Python scripting skills, and will bring endless curiosity about how complex, low-level software and hardware systems interact.
The engineer will thrive in a fast-moving, high-velocity environment, working independently while managing rapidly changing priorities.
The engineer will engage as an active team player, communicate with empathy across technical and non-technical audiences, and consistently drive to make things better, faster, and more cost-effective.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Write, execute, and maintain automated integration and smoke tests daily using frameworks such as Radish/Cucumber and Python.
Design and conduct systems-level testing and benchmarking of the memory management platform under real-world workloads.
Reproduce, troubleshoot, and document field-reported issues within local testbeds to support customers and field teams.
Leverage AI coding assistants and validation tools to automate routine syntax and boilerplate, focusing on high-level system semantics, logical test design, and edge-case validation.
Create clear, concise technical documentation, bug reports, and testing updates.
Provide operational feedback to the automation/CI/CD team to build a more efficient and robust testing environment.
Execute automated deployment playbooks (Ansible) to spin up ephemeral testing environments on demand using GCP or AWS.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 6+ years of professional software testing, QA, or systems validation experience.
Advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system Intermediate knowledge of one or more scripting languages, particularly Python.
Familiarity with popular DevOps tools (GitHub, Ansible, Cucumber/Radish, Jira) and a strong desire to expand this skill set.
Ability to work independently and manage rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic startup like environment.
Strong in Scripting/Programing language (Python, C/C++) Proven experience in using AI skills in the QA domain Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent. #LI-SK3 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
