OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience. 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (3-7 Years) MTech with up to 5 years of relevant industry experience PhD with up to 3 years of industry or applied research experience Open to strong industry profiles and fresh PhD candidates with relevant research focus 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 • Modem and PHY system design for 5G NR and beyond • Physical layer algorithm development for wireless transceivers • RF and baseband interaction, including RF impairments and digital mitigation • System performance analysis, modeling, and tradeoff studies • Spectral and transmitter requirements such as CFR, ACLR, SEM, PAPR, and power control • Beamforming concepts and multi‑antenna systems • RF and baseband filtering concepts • Contribution to system architecture studies and design documentation • Collaboration with software, firmware, RF IC, and test teams to debug system‑level issues • Research oriented systems work, including standardization‑influenced studies 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 • Strong foundation in wireless communication and signal processing • Solid understanding of communication theory, signal processing, probability and random processes, detection and estimation theory • Exposure to or hands‑on experience with Matlab, C or C++ simulations • Candidates should have either taken relevant courses or applied these concepts in real systems or research and be ready to use them in physical layer solution development • Experience or strong interest in 5G NR, LTE, WLAN, or related wireless technologies Applicants : Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
