OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques. Required Skills and Experience Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Camera HAL3 development and Android camera frameworks. Strong C and C++ programming and debugging skills. Strong knowledge of Android camera, image, or video processing. Strong knowledge of operating system fundamentals, including virtual memory, CPU scheduling, process states, synchronization, etc. Strong knowledge of concepts such as RTOS, RAM/cache, interrupt handling, etc., as applied to embedded systems. Hands-on experience with real-time issues such as memory/stack corruption, ANR, deadlocks, race conditions, etc. Strong debugging and analysis skills, including data and statistical analysis, and proficiency in performance and power. Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear and concise manner. Willingness to travel to customer sites and other Qualcomm office locations to co-develop next-generation smartphones. Working experience in multimedia technologies such as camera or video frameworks is a must. Knowledge of the Windows camera stack and experience working with the Microsoft camera stack is an added advantage. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience; or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience; or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Applicants : Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
