Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: Job Overview Design, develop, and maintain scalable Android/Linux Bluetooth test automation components (framework modules, libraries) for Qualcomm‑based platforms. Contribute to automation-first test strategy by expanding automated coverage for Bluetooth profiles and host functionality Debug Bluetooth issues using multi-layer logs, traces, and protocol analysis, and enhance automation to capture the right artifacts (logs, traces, repro steps) to accelerate triage and root cause. Partner closely with development teams to root-cause failures found via automation, drive fixes, and ensure fixes are validated through regression automation (prevent escapes and reoccurrence). Drive end-to-end quality execution from early platform bring-up through production release and post‑launch support by enabling continuous regression, results reporting, and automation health tracking. Minimum Qualifications Proven ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and manage deliverables in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment. Strong hands‑on experience with Android‑based platforms and system‑level software development. Proficiency in C++, Java, and C programming languages, with demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design principles. Strong C++ expertise with experience developing efficient, high‑performance software for low‑power and memory‑constrained systems. Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills, including hands‑on experience with debugging and analysis tools such as logcat, GDB, strace, and similar utilities. Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of Android Bluetooth technology, including host stack architecture, core components, and Bluetooth profile implementations. Exposure to python, C++, QT, programming and interest in applying GenAI based solutions in test automation framework. Experience working with system peripheral interfaces such as SPI, UART, PCM/I2S, and USB in embedded or Android‑based platforms. Experience using Bluetooth qualification and debugging tools, including air sniffers (e.g., Ellisys, Frontline) and Bluetooth SIG Profile Tuning Suite (PTS).
